OY-ITC Stakeholders Forum

The OY-ITC embarked on a nationwide sensitization campaign, this involved a combination of sensitization forum and mini exhibition tours across the geopolitical zones of Nigeria, with a view of reaching out to various stakeholders in public and private sector. The OY-ITC tour began in Abuja with a stakeholders forum, then it btook her sensitization train to Lagos with both hosting a stakeholders forum and mini exhibition.
The Kano state stakeholders forum and market tour revealed the challenges and opportunities that existed for foreign investment in Nigeria. Finally, the south east and south - south tour held in Aba further strengthened the confidence of capacity of non-oil export and the attractiveness to foreign investors.
There are various documentary sessions to capture key aspects of the preparatory campaign. Over 35 products ready for non-oil export trade. The various products includes finished products from leather and garment industry like shoes, bags and various clothing attires. Various agro allied products packaged and ready for international business were identified.
The OY-ITC has engaged several agencies including the Federal Ministry of industry, trade and investment, the NEPC, NIPC, NAFDAC, SON, FIIRO, FACAN, various trade union groups, the press and other regulatory agencies as well as the organized private sector. This is to ensure that stakeholders are well informed and engaged to ensure bmaximum contribution and active participation at the upcoming trade show and exhibition in Houston Texas.
